What would you think of having a Champion of Vandur?? Like proven that he is worthy of leading Skaya people? This ofcourse would be a NPC but have a little back story to how he became a Champion of Vandur. and is there a current leader of the Skaya? and are there any villages/cities for the skaya people. and are the mountains already named around the Skaya area? NameGunnar son of Eadberht and grandson of Godric. This is what I think of the armor but with less leg armor and the horns not be there on the helm. Also this could be a normal color of metal.

Hit the nail on the head with that last pic, that looks fantastic. There would definately be hero kings amongst the Skaya, champions much in the Homeric tradition. The Vandur are not immortal but would be way beyond the ability of any human to harm.

Yes, there are definately hero Kings, champions, chieftains etc amongst the Skaya. They would be a fairly loose knit bunch without the Vandur so there could be hundreds of tribes, some with kings, some chieftains, some warrior elite. Much like the archaic/classical greeks, diverse city states. However the Skaya wouldnt have cities, they would be difficult to fight in that respect.

Ok so this was a while ago? ill take up the skaya now, my method right now is remove all 'power' abilities.. Ill use the Nords as the base. Wondering whether to leave all skill perks alone right now/delete. Can we change them later without fn too much up? If anyone knows do share. Right *cracks knuckles , its Conan the barbarian.....

That might be good Tchan. From reading this page: a-total-gazeteer-of-the-mesogean-world-t53.html , it seems the Skaya are the Vandur's foot soldiers. So it might be helpful that when we do write in any direct confrontation with Vandur, it will most likely be the Skaya that are fought, as a single Vandur will demolish an early player, or almost any human for that matter. Even the Skaya look like they'll be difficult to fight in combat.... check out the guns on that guy :p

I envisaged the Skaya as being similar in many traits to orcs but of course human. They would be strong but no more so than many fit, healthy humans, preferring the cold north to the hotter south. They were bred for northern warfare against the Sheahlin. They're not clever either. It would be like a war between the Roman Army of Augustus time and the German tribes. Get the Holorians on the back foot, away from where their Alscoria can manouver and the Skaya would equalise the balance. Man to man the Skaya would be no better than a healthy Holorian soldier who would be better equipped, well trained and well looked after in an army sort of way. The Skaya were bred to grow strong quickly, then be expended in throwing them in their thousands at their enemies, easily replaced by the next generation. They would not have any military training other than, pick up big sword and hit a lot.
