So I was playing around with Oblivion about a year back, and I did the Fort Sutch Quest. I thought it was the coolest thing, and I really wanted to do my own version. So here's my idea for a quest. It includes the Holorians and the Doraean Tribes.

Intro: The Holorians, ever fearful of their Doraean neighbors, have fortified the eastern part of their empire with a line of small forts. These defenses serve as an early warning should any Doraean army try to force their way into the empire. One such fort, Fort Govium, suddenly comes under attack from a small Doraean army of spearmen and horsemen. You, the brave adventurer, must help the Holorian garrison repel this assault.

Quest Stage - Planning Phase
Quest Area - Unknown
Quest Length - Medium
Quest Difficulty - Easy
Quest Starting - Upon arrival at Fort Govium
Quest Description - The player must escape the siege and find another nearby Doraean tribe friendly to the Holorians. Inform them of the siege and then help them break it.

Quest Story - Suprisingly, this is one of the least complicated quests. Once you arrive in Fort Govium, talk to the commanding officer. He'll tell you that sentries have spotted an oncoming Doraean army. Sadly, the garrison is nowhere strong enought, and no reinforcments are available. He begs you to escape the fort and find the Kandak, a friendly Doraean tribe. There, he tells you to find the residing Holorian ambassador and seek aid. You break out of the fort, which isn't too hard because the commander will supply you a horse. There isn't any opposition because the Doraean army hasn't yet arrived. Travel a short distance to the Kandak tribe and find the ambassador. He'll tell you that the hostile Doraeans are probably from the Mardak tribe, a group of Doraeans that kill and pillage whatever they want. Though the Doraeans as whole are mostly against war with the Holorians, the Mardak still send small forces to ravage the empire. The ambassador then exits to talk to the chieftan.

Thankfully, the chieftan agrees to help the garrison. He sends some of his riders with you, and then you must ride back with these soldiers and liberate the garrison, which is now under attack from the Mardak army. Kill the raiders, which shouldn't be too hard, and then talk to the commander to recieve a small reward.

However, should you return to the Kandak, they'll tell you that they are impressed by your fighting skills, and want you to join the tribe. This is the only way that you can join the Doraeans and start their quest line. Also, the Kandak are the only joinable tribe.

A quick rundown of the NPCs involved in this battle:

Holorian:
1 Commander
2 Archers
2 Swordsmen or Spearmen

Doraean (Mardak):
1 Leader (Horseback)
4 Spearmen
4 Riders w/ Bows and Shortswords

Doraean (Kandak):
3 Riders w/ Bows and Shortswords

What do you think? The only problem is that I don't have the fort yet. However, like I said in the Doraean forum, my brother can attempt to build it. It won't be very big, more like the size of an outpost.

Looks very good to me, you can use the pallisades or holorian fort parts to build it.

I'm guessing this didn't work out either. I saw Kroot on the other day as well.

Citizen86,

This idea is still kicking, I just have to find the time to complete it. :)

Haha! Finally! I got the fort done! It's located on cell 159, 39. It's got palisade walls, a good number of tents inside. As well as a few storage areas. So yeah, work is getting done. :)

Just need to populate and clutter it now...

Here are some pics of the new fort.

The first one is an overview.

The second one is a front view.

The third one is of a typical Marduk (Doraean) infantryman. He carries a wicked looking pole blade (I called it a halberd) on his back.

The fourth is just another picture of the fort.

What do you think?

Edit: I haven't created any new races; I'm not a modeler or retexturer.

I absolutely love it. The Doraean soldier looks perfect for the location. I'd love to come across this place during an adventure. I can see the messenger cavalry going back and forth, the sentries, the scouts, foragers, the attack. Lions, tigers and bears oh my.

So, I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on Mesogea. But what time I do have, I've spent on this quest. The Kandak, Marduk army, Holorian garrison, and Marduk tribe have been placed; I just need to tie them into the quest.
