Holorian history is long and diverse. Thankfully a race not only of warriors but of mathematicians, scholars and historians, their history is their honour, families are proud to trace their origins far into the past, some claiming divine heritage and a descent from gods.

The scholar Hebro places the origins of the Holorians in the Doraean plains, a nomadic people who were destined to rise above their neighbours and to conquer. And conquer they may have done, yet long ago they moved east and southwards to the regions at the far eastern edge of the Mesogean sea. Here they took land, butchering those who stood against them, singularly minded in cutting out a nation from their barbarian past. For centuries the Holorians stood firm against Empires and Kingdoms that sought to destroy them until finally they were the masters of the East (though in truth an uneasy truce exists between the Holorians and the Akkad, their nearest neighbours and equally powerful empire.

After a time the Holorians, limited by Akkad, turned their attentions to the west, crossing the Mesogean sea and finally settling in the Agalien peninsula that features so heavily in the mod map. Time passed, merchants formed towns and eventually cities, and a new enemy The Karith emerged from the deserts of the south. Now Holorian history is being written not only in the East where the greater Empire once again has designs upon the lands of the Akkad and beyond, but in the West where several powerful cities states have been finally united into what is now an Empire in its own right.

The Holorians will eventually diversify into Etruscan/Latin/Mycenaean/Achadean/Macedonian and similar peoples. Their language will be preserved as Indo European. They are resilient to harship, strong, intelligent, good orators, excellent merchants and have great stamina. They mistrust and do not use magic of any kind, prefering the sword to the staff. They are resilient to most forms of magic. They do not enjoy the desert or the extreme cold of the far north, but can manage if neccesary and by intelligence can overcome.
