The Karith are an ancient, once highly civilised people however civil warfare has split them into lesser tribes, though some cities remain the people the Holorians call the Desert Karith have become mostly nomadic, traversing the edges of the great desert and raiding or milking more settled communities. They are numerous, warlike but no less so to each other. Their origin in the coastal plain and semi arid expanse of North Africa where they have learned to use the desert to avoid enemies and to disappear when neccesary.

They are a hardy people, they consider magic to be the work of women and cowards. Physically tough, they are resilient to heat but do not enjoy the cold, they are intelligent but in comparison to their coastal neighbours seem to have shunned the trappings of urban civilisation and technology in favour of mobile warfare to satisfy their needs.

Physically they are tall, well proportioned with dark, tanned skin. Brown eyed and excellent horsemen.

Over the millenia they will entirely break away from their coastal cousins and retreating to northern africa spread along the coast where they will return to the desert fringes once the Phoenicians dominate the coast.

The above does not signify that the Desert Karith are arabs, merely that they share physical attributes owing to their environment.

What does everyone think to this as desert warrior stuff. I wont use the armour but the head gear looks fairly good as do some of the weapons.

Nice find! Headgear looks good - gives a sense of their need for sun protection. Weapons look good too, as if they were fashioned from animal parts and the natural world, or at least the styling implies that origin. I suppose if they're of NW African origin they'd be proto-Berbers culturally, which would make them distant cousins of the Arabs. Or even closer, ancient Egyptians! Hmmm... mummification and tombs - I know some Berber tribes did this, such as the Guanches. Maybe some ideas we could use, e.g. a tomb style.
